After some lunch and another closure, we set about finishing our tickets as best we could before having to dash back to Calais for the train home. So I’m afraid there aren’t many more pictures…

In conclusion, it was a fantastic trip. It was the first time I’d managed to sample the track in a car that wasn’t bust (my old M3), or in a car that wasn’t just plain rubbish (the Vectra). The consequence was that my laps were definitely smoother and quicker. I had great fun doing a few laps in convoy with Ian – as the pair of us rushed around there were some Porsche drivers looking confused at the sight of Ian’s alleged 325i rushing past them!

A marvellous experience – I can’t wait to go back. Thanks to everyone who helped with the planning, and those who joined us while we were there for making it so enjoyable.
